Jaron Klopstein

Klopstein, who founded Infinity Lacrosse in 2008, started small.  "I was just giving private lessons to area kids over the summer back then," Klopstein says.  Jaron, who began playing lacrosse in fifth grade, found his way to Wisconsin his freshman year of high school.  At Middleton High School, Klopstein would go on to win a state title before moving to Saint Louis his senior year.

"NCAA coaches weren't taking me seriously because I was from Wisconsin...  I felt like I had to move back to Saint Louis just to open up some options. I'm really trying to prevent any future Wisconsin players from ever having to make a choice like that."

Klopstein would go on to be recruited by several NCAA D1, D2, and D3 schools, but opted to stay in Saint Louis and play with NCAA D3 Fontbonne University.  While at Fontbonne, Klopstein started for two years at attack and was one of the team's leading scorers.  "After my sophmore year, I decided to move back to Wisconsin to really help grow the game.  There was only so much that could be done 400 miles away, and I really wanted to get my hands dirty."

These days, Jaron puts nearly all of his time into coaching and playing around Wisconsin.  After finishing his senior year up at the University of Wisconsin, where he was the Team MVP, Klopstein has become an active coach, running Infinity camps and clinics year round, in addition to being Co-Head Coach of the Milkmen H.S. Elite Brand.

Currently, Klopstein serves as the Head Coach at the University of Wisconsin.  In his two year tenure, he has lead the team to back-to-bacl GRLC Conference Tournament showings, earning the number one seed in 2011.  During that time, he has coached nine All-Conference players, one All-American, and four MCLA Scholar Athletes.

Mike Storts

Mike Storts was one of the founding members of the state's first team - Verona Area High School - and has been hooked on the sport ever since.

"To see how far Wisconsin lacrosse has come in the past decade has been very rewarding," Storts said. "Between playing high school and college ball, I've made some of my very best friends through this sport...we have something special here in Wisconsin; I'm happy to be a part of it."

A 2005 graduate of Verona, Storts was the premier defenseman on the state's first dynasty. Verona played in the state championship game in 2003, and won the title in 2004 and 2005.

After high school, a few East Coast NCAA teams came knocking but Storts opted to play at the University of Minnesota, where he would be a two-time Captain and earn First Team All-Conference recognition twice as the Gophers' top defenseman.

Currently a Varsity coach at Verona Area High School and the Defensive Coordinator with the Wisconsin Badgers -- in addition to being Co-Head Coach of Milkmen High School Elite -- you can usually find Mike with a marker board and whistle. "Coaching is unlike anything else. I can't get enough of it. My passion for the game made it natural, but to see the strides our young guys and girls make is hands-down the best part."
